Konya Arkeoloji Müzesi, 1901 yilinda Karma Orta Okulunda açilmistir. Daha sonra 1927 yilinda Mevlâna Müzesine, 1953 yilinda Iplikçi Camii'ne tasinmistir. 1962 yilinda ise bugünkü müze binasi kurularak hizmete girdi. Müzede, Neolitik, Eski Tunç, Orta Tunç (Asur ticaret kolonileri), Demir (Frig, Urartu), Klasik, Helenistik, Roma ve Bizans çaglarina ait eserler sergilenmektedir.
